Barry Krause

Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer of Monet, Barry is responsible for strategic, brand and business development. Krause spent the majority of his career within the Publicis Groupe. He was Chairman, CEO of Publicis in New York and President of Publicis & Hal Riney. This followed 14 years at Leo Burnett where he worked across a blue-chip roster and ultimately directed the National McDonald’s account. He stepped out of the Publicis world to become President of J. Walter Thompson in Chicago before originating live experiential social media with his Emmy Award winning LiveLab content creation studios.

His work for such brands as Progressive Insurance and Subway restaurants was called “brand transformative” and included among the “Ten Stickiest Ideas of our Generation” by Stanford professor and Fast Company columnist, Chip Heath, in his New York Times bestseller, Made To Stick. Krause is an Advisor for Lurie Children’s Hospital, and has served on the Board, or Advisory Board, for BCON — the Branded Content Expo, comScore, IRI and Orchard Village.
He serves as a judge for the Emmy Awards digital entertainment category. As a nine time Emmy nominee, he is the recipient of two Emmy Awards, the SXSW Digital Innovation Award, the CES Experiential Innovation Award and numerous Clios and Effies. He was named an Agency Innovator by Advertising Age and was honored as one of Crain’s “40 under 40” (back when he was under 40).
